An accomplished engineer with about thirty-five (35) years’ experience in the Nigerian Power , Oil & Gas sector covering civil, infrastructures & facilities engineering, project development /management, human and materials resources management. Worked variously in the past in different capacities from field engineer to overall project manager of many projects in the Power , Oil & Gas and Infrastructures sector on multi-million-dollar projects.
In the last 20 years, he has been working at senior management level with overall responsibilities for business prospecting, development, contracting and execution of engineering projects.
Prior to joining Global Energy Company in 1998, he had worked for ABB and the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited. As a young engineer in Shell, he worked in various facilities on land, swamp and offshore locations supervising various flowlines installations and facilities upgrade projects. While in Global Energy Company, he has worked in various capacities before reaching the position of Manager Engineering Services.
Alawode now has over 35 years oil and gas experience in project management, construction activities for production systems including pumps, flow lines and corrosion engineering in offshore and onshore platforms, power plants installations and public infrastructure projects.
He graduated with second class upper from the University of Lagos in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and he is also an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School having attended the Advanced Management Programme (AMP12) in 2001. He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE) and COREN.
