SDEM ERECTORS NIGERIA LIMITED (SDEM) was founded in 1981 by GEC Alstom Group of France as a turnkey industrial contractor for structural steel fabrication, industrial erection, mechanical piping and large scale water project.
In 24 years of operating in Nigeria, SDEM has built some of the most complex industrial installation in Nigeria where it has deployed its considerable local infrastructure and equipment inventory.
Based on its solid reputation of engineering excellence, SDEM has extended its service delivery to the Telecommunication Sector, through the construction of base stations for GSM operators and PTO for their national roll-out programs and field logistics/movement of telecoms equipment from warehouses to various sites across the country.
In December 2004, Global Energy Company acquired majority shares (90%) of SDEM, effectively making her a Nigerian Indigenous company with a minority 10% shareholding and a seat on the board of Directors of SDEM retained by a French partner. |
